The Loreo 3D Lens in a Cap turns any SLR camera into a 3D stereo camera. So you can shoot perfect 3d pictures with your own trustworthy camera. The great thing about SLR camera's is that you can easily change lenses. The 3D LENS IN A CAP is on the body in seconds. And you can even change lenses with a roll of film already inside. So you can take 2D or 3D pictures whenever you like. Its as easy as that. The 3d pictures can be processed normally and can be viewed with a stereo viewer. You get a Loreo Lite 3d-viewer with the lens. For other viewers look on this website.

If you scan the images from your 3D lens, you can make them into anaglyph images. These images can be watched on a computerscreen with red/cyan glasses. Difficult to make anaglyph images? No it's not; you just need StereoPhoto Maker. You can download it here. You don't have red/cyan glasses? Yes you do; we will send you one FREE with this camera. For the technically minded the 3D Cap has a matched pair of focusing lenses, with a focusing range from one meter to infinity. The 3D lens has F/11 and F/22 aperture and a focal length of 38 mm. the 3D lens is a self-contained, integrated beamsplitter and lens system that mounts directly onto the camera body and does not need any supporting lens.

Mount types

First of all: the 3D lens works only with SLR-camera's with interchangeable lenses. It ships with 7 common mount types: Canon EOS, Canon FD, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax K, Minolta MD and Minolta AF.

Digital SLR camera's

Users of full frame digital cameras can also use the normal 3D Lenses. The LOREO 3D Lens in a Cap for use with APS and digital SLR cameras - that are not full frame - is slightly different from the one for standard SLRs. That's because these digital SLRs do not have full frame (35mm) sensors. Non-full frame digital cameras typically have a focal length multiplier of 1.6.
The "T" version 3D Lens in a Cap is specially converted from a regular 3D Lens in a Cap to compensate for the non-full frame cropping. Examples of non-full frame digital cameras include the Canon D10, D20, D30, D60, 10D, Canon EOS 300D, 350D, 400D, the Nikon D1, D1X, D1H, D100, D2H, D70, Pentax *ist and several Minolta digital SLR-camera's. The 3D Lens in a Cap (T-version) is known to work with these cameras.

Which Cameras is it NOT suitable for?

First of all the 3D lens is not available with M42 because there is no way of ensuring alignment with a screw mount, which is essential for taking good 3D pictures. Further more; the 3D lens is not available for the Canon 1D, the Minolta RD-175 (it has a multiplier of 2) and the Minolta RD-3000. If you have a very new type of digital camera, ask us if the 3D lens is available for it. That's the only way to be sure.

The 3D-LENS IN A CAP turns any SLR-camera into an instant 3d-camera, with a f/11 and f/22 aperture for unparalleled depth-of-field and a wide 38 mm view.

The analogue and T-version (Three Quarter Frame version) of the 3D lens are priced the same:
